The exercise, which was initially scheduled to commence on Tuesday, July 4, for staff on Grade Level 01 to 06 in the mainstream civil service has now been rescheduled to commence on July 17.

The promotion exercise for the state employees on Grade Level 01 to 16 in agencies and parastatal has also been rescheduled to commence on July 24.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Establishments and Training, Mr Olawale Musa, made the announcement in a statement on Monday.

“The new date for the commencement of the exercise for the categories of officers is now 17th July 2023, for those in the mainstream and 24th July 2023 for those in parastatal and agencies,” the statement said.

Musa, who explained that the shift became imperative in order to put logistics in place to ensure a hitch-free exercise, expressed regrets over the inconvenience the shift in the date might cause.
