Lagos Police sues organizers for misuse of CP Ishola’s image in flyers

The Lagos State Police Command has initiated legal proceedings against the organizers of a program who allegedly used the name and image of Commissioner of Police, Mr. Olarenwaju Ishola, on promotional materials without his consent.

In a statement shared on social media by the command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, it was clarified that the police command is not associated with the program, titled “Global Property Conference,” set to take place on November 9 at the Landmark Event Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos.

“The command wishes to alert the general public that it is not aware of a program tagged ‘Global Property Conference’ whose flyer carries the name and picture of CP Ishola,” Hundeyin stated.

He emphasized that the promotional materials are a product of “mischief makers” attempting to use the Commissioner’s identity to lend credibility and endorsement to their event.

Members of the public are urged to disregard any claims linking CP Ishola to the conference, as the police command disclaims any affiliation with the event.

The command has confirmed that it is taking the necessary legal action against the organizers to address this misuse of the Commissioner’s name and image.
