Lagos Island’s Deputy Leader Prince Oyekan pledges N20 million to support underprivileged residents

In line with his sustained efforts to improve living standards across Nigeria’s model Local Government Area, Hon. Prince Taiwo Ajibade Oyekan has confirmed plans to provide Twenty Million Naira (N20,000,000) in support to Vulnerable Groups, including Widows, Elderly Residents, Physically Challenged Persons, Petty Traders, Artisans, and Skilled Technicians.

In line with his sustained efforts to improve living standards across Nigeria’s model Local Government Area, Hon. Prince Taiwo Ajibade Oyekan has confirmed plans to provide Twenty Million Naira (N20,000,000) in support to Vulnerable Groups, including Widows, Elderly Residents, Physically Challenged Persons, Petty Traders, Artisans, and Skilled Technicians.

Furthermore, the Deputy Leader of the Lagos Island Local Government Legislative Arm has pledged to donate a patrol vehicle to the Nigeria Police Force, enhancing the security infrastructure on the Island. Additionally, numerous bags of rice and filled gas cylinders will be distributed.

According to Prince Oyekan, in a statement received by Lagos Panorama on Thursday, the Socioeconomic Intervention Initiatives aim to augment the State and Federal Governments’ endeavors in Poverty Alleviation and Security of Lives and Property.

He noted “I am passionate about uplifting the vulnerable in our communities and I will not relent. We must brighten the hope of the people and make the world a better place”.

In December 2023, Hon. OYEKAN facilitated the donation of a utility bus to the Isale-Eko Community Security Team, Folumo, bolstering community policing strategies in Lagos.

State Stakeholders, Community Leaders, and senior Party Chieftains commended Hon. Oyekan’s comprehensive Action Plans.

The highly anticipated Mega Plus Economic Empowerment program is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 19 December 2024, at the Ilupesi Event Centre, Enu Owa Street, Isale-Eko, Lagos Island, Lagos.
