Dr. Mrs. Cordelia Sanwo-Olu, wife of the Lagos State Governor, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA, Hon. Oladotun Olakanle, at his residence in Peace Estate, Oregun, Ikeja.
On behalf of the state’s first family, Mrs. Sanwo-Olu extended heartfelt condolences and wished the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Earlier, colleagues of the late Chairman under the auspices of Conference 57 visited the family to offer condolences and prayers.
Notably present amongst yesterday’s esteemed guests was Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC Lagos State, accompanied by Hon Rakiya Hassan, Vice Chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA.
Other visitors included party chieftains, former ward chairmen, past councilors, women leaders, and others.
The final funeral program has been scheduled for next Thursday, featuring a valedictory legislative session and wake keep service, followed by interment on Friday.
Recall Lagos Panorama reported on Saturday that Hon Oladotun Olakanle, Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area, has passed away.
Born February 3, 1970, in Ikeja, Nigeria, details regarding the cause of his death are not publicly available. Nonetheless, sources reveal that a sudden illness necessitated his hospitalization, causing him to miss the Council’s event where security vans were allocated to police stations and other LCDA agencies.
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu on the 27 of August 2020 sworn-in Hon. Oladotun Olakanle as the new Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) after the demised of his predisesor late Babatunde Oke who died early Wednesday, August 12, 2020, having been sick for some time.
