Divisional Police Officers and Area Commanders in Lagos State Police Command were on Friday March 18, 2022 trained intensively on the effective implementation of the provisions on the Administration of Criminal Justice (Amendment) Law 2021.
The Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjami Hundeyin in a press release made available to Lagos Panorama, said the training which was organized by the Lagos State Ministry of Justice in partnership with the European Council, the British Council, and Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption (RoLAC) at the Adeyemi Bero Hall, Alausa, Ikeja was designed to improve on human rights and rule of law, especially as it relates to officers and men of the Nigeria Police in Lagos State.
Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi fdc, mnin, psc who gave the opening remark at the training expressed hopes that the training would greatly shore up service delivery and international best practices in criminal Justice administration within the State.
Also at the event were the Hon. Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Moyosore Onigbanjo SAN, Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary Ministry of Justice, Ms T.K. Shitta-Bey, and the State Coordinator of Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption (RoLAC), Mrs Ajibola Ijimakinwa.
