Lagos CP supervises clearing of diesel truck accident scene

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, today personally supervised the clearing of an accident scene at Toyota Bus Stop, along Apapa/Oshodi Expressway.

The accident occurred today 7th January, 2021, at about 1044am when a truck loaded with Diesel (AGO) lost control and fell between DHL and Toyota Bus Stop Isolo, along Apapa/Oshodi Expressway. The truck caught fire immediately after the crash which later occasioned thick gridlock along the area before it was cleared by the operatives of the Police, Federal Road Safety Corps, Civil Defence, Lagos Response Unit, LASTMA, NEMA, LASEMA etc.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, who arrived at the scene for on-the-spot assessment and clearing of the obstruction, was accompanied by some senior police officers including the Area Commander Area D, Mushin, ACP Aliko Dankoli and the Divisional Crime Officer Aswani Division

After the assessment and clearing of the scene, it was confirmed that no life was lost to the fire incident. While the Commissioner of Police commended the efforts of all security and safety agencies at the scene, he urged drivers and road users to always be patient and drive with caution on the highway.
