Some youths of the All-Progressives Congress, (APC), in Onigbongbo LCDA have demanded for primary to determine the party’s candidate in the forthcoming Lagos Council Polls.
The youth protesting against the alleged imposition of the chairmanship candidate of the Local Government candidate stormed the resident of the Chief of Staff to the Lagos State governor, Mr. Tayo Akinmade Ayinde in Ikeja GRA but was not attended to, as it was not clear if he was at home.
The Youths, who were peaceful in their demonstrations, proceeded to the resident of the GAC Leader in the local government, Dr Abaymi Finnih who was available to listen to their complain.
Dr. Finnih alluded that the leadership had to adopt the incumbent Chairman, Hon Oladotun Olakanle to save the party of the rigours and stress attributed to such primaries, hence the reason for the consensus candidate.
However, the leader of the protesting youth, Engr. Michael Sanusi insisted that they want a free and fair primary to nominate their candidate since the National Leader of the party Asiwaju Bola Tinubu had publicly declared.
