The campaign for the second term of the Executive Chairman Ikeja Local Government Dr. Mojeed Alabi Balogun has kicked off on Monday at Ward C consisting of Onilekere/Onipetesi communities Ikeja.
The campaign was formally declared open by Chief Mrs. Kemi Nelson ably represented by the Chairman All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker Committee Ikeja Local Government, Alhaji Dally Adeokun, with a massive turnout by party leaders and members in support of the Council Chairman for re-election.
The campaign and ward tour had the Chairman and Councilor, Hon. Ayotunde Adenuga visiting party and traditional leaders, elders and residents of Onilekere ward from house to house in a bid to seek support for the APC at the forthcoming local government elections slated for July 24, 2021.
The Council Chairman and Councilor, both seeking re-election for the second term had huge support from residents and party supporters.
Traditional leaders in the Onilekere ward were also visited during the campaign. All traditional leaders who visited prayed for the Council Chairman noting that his re-election bid is already a success and that Almighty God will grant him a successful tenure for his second term much more than the successful first term.
