The Lagos State House of Assembly has commenced a three-day budget retreat to scrutinise the 2026 appropriation bill recently presented by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. The exercise is taking place under the leadership of Speaker Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.
The retreat brings together lawmakers, policy analysts, and key stakeholders to dissect the proposals, review sectoral priorities, and refine the fiscal framework for the incoming year.
