Lagos — The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has unleashed a blistering rebuttal against commentator Aare Amerijóye DOT.B, describing his latest publication as a “literary meltdown powered by propaganda rather than logic.”

In a fiery statement issued by the party’s spokesperson, Hon. Seye Oladejo, the APC said Aare’s write-up was nothing more than “a panic attack arranged in paragraphs” and accused him of attempting to defend former Vice President Atiku Abubakar with what it called “buzzwords, bitterness and baseless theatrics.”

APC: “Aare’s Attack Is Hysteria, Not Argument”

The party mocked Aare’s accusation of “political blasphemy,” asking rhetorically: “Blasphemy against who? Atiku?”

The APC argued that Aare was treating Atiku as a “political deity,” insisting the former Vice President is simply a “serial presidential contestant whose ambition has expired more times than the country has held elections.”

Customs Career & Privatisation Era — APC Revives Long-Standing Allegations

The statement revisited long-standing controversies surrounding Atiku’s public service career, repeating claims frequently aired by his critics about his time in the Nigeria Customs Service and the privatisation programme under the Obasanjo administration.

According to the Lagos APC, Atiku “presided over privatisation exercises that left major national assets in ruins,” listing NITEL, Nigeria Airways, Ajaokuta, ALSCON and refineries among examples commonly debated in Nigeria’s political space.

The party also cited past public criticisms made by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, which have been widely reported during political seasons.

“What Has Atiku Done for Adamawa?” Lagos APC Asks

The statement challenged Atiku’s long political career, questioning what impact he has had on his home state, Adamawa.

APC insisted that after “over four decades in national politics,” Atiku’s critics still argue that Adamawa struggles in poverty rates, literacy, infrastructure and job creation.

“If he couldn’t transform one state, how will he transform 36 and the FCT?” the party asked.

APC: Atiku’s Political Career “Has Expired”

Launching one of its harshest salvos, the Lagos APC dismissed Atiku’s 2027 prospects entirely, saying no amount of “political reinvention” could revive “an ambition that has reached the end of its shelf life.”

Tinubu ‘Fixing What PDP Broke’, APC Claims

The party argued that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is “cleaning up the structural, economic and institutional damage” it attributes to past PDP administrations, insisting that no amount of “emotional essay-writing” can change public memory.

Final Blow: “Next Time, Bring Arguments — Not Adjectives”

Oladejo rounded off the statement with a sharp jab at Aare, accusing him of waging “intellectual warfare without ammunition.”

“Your epistle was long but empty — loud yet hollow,” he said, insisting that facts, not “decorated delusions,” should guide political commentary.
