The All Progressives Congress APC, APC, Lagos chapter has congratulated the party’s candidate and governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy Dr. Obafemi Hamzat for whose elections were confirmed on Monday by the State Tribunal.
The party’s spokesperson Hon Seye Oladejo in a press release sent to Lagos Panorama said “We wish to congratulate the Governor of Lagos State , Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and his deputy Dr. Babafemi Hamzat on the re-affirmation of their victory by the election petition tribunal”.
“We also congratulate all Lagosians and most especially members of the All Progressives Congress who worked painstakingly during the elections.”
“The affirmation is an eloquent testimony to the free choice made by the overwhelming majority of voters of their preference for developmental , progressive, passionate , responsive and responsible governance over needless and risky experiments”.
“Our unshakable belief that the petitions of our opponents amounted to mere academic exercise by sore losers was undoubtedly upheld by the verdict”.
“The Lagos APC wish to assure all Lagosians through our various elected and appointed representatives of our age long traditional service delivery in order to provide the desired dividends of democracy”.
“May we now extend the olive branch to all and sundry, including our opponents to come on board in order to move our dear state forward”.
Rousing Welcome for APC State Chairman
In the same vein, hundreds of APC leaders and members led by the Chairman of the 57 LGA Chairmen, in Lagos State Mayeigun Dally Adeokun, were at the party’s secretariat to monitor the tribunal proceedings on Monday.
The elated crowd stayed till late night for the arrival of the State Chairman, Hon Cornelius Ojelabi who was earlier in the day at the venue of the Tribunal in solidarity for the governor and party’s interest.
The Chairman expressed his gratitude to the supporting party faithfuls for keeping faith and trust for the governor and party and promised that the governor will join them in a victory party very soon.
