The All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State chapter, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for launching a nationwide free technical education program, describing it as a “visionary and people-oriented policy” designed to equip young Nigerians with practical skills and secure the country’s future.
The party in a statement issued on Monday by its spokesman, Mogaji (Hon.) Seye Oladejo, stated that this policy eliminates financial barriers to technical education, offering every student a ₦22,500 monthly stipend to support their studies.
“By removing financial barriers to technical education, President Tinubu has opened the door for millions of young Nigerians to acquire relevant skills in technology, innovation, and vocational expertise – skills that will drive industrial growth, self-reliance, and economic resilience,” the statement said.
The party described the stipend as a practical measure designed to encourage enrollment and sustain academic commitment.
The Lagos APC stated that the free technical education scheme embodies President Tinubu’s enduring commitment to human capital development, mirroring his vision as Lagos State governor, where he introduced free education and made substantial investments in schools.
The party also criticized the opposition, noting that those who ‘thrive on falsehood and idle distractions’ would be perplexed by the president’s achievements.
“History will remember not their noise but his achievements,” the statement read. “With free technical education nationwide and a ₦22,500 monthly stipend for every student, a new chapter has begun – one where skills, not limitations, will define the destiny of our youth.”
The Lagos APC pledged its continued backing for President Tinubu as his administration unveils policies intended to put Nigeria back on the path to prosperity.
