IKORODU, Lagos — September 5, 2026: The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Prince Adedayo Ladega, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare and healthcare access of residents through a Mega Medical Outreach held at Ita-Elewa, Ikorodu.
The outreach offered residents a range of free healthcare services, including medical consultations, health screenings, medications and other essential medical interventions.
The initiative, according to the council, underscores the administration’s commitment to Enhanced Healthcare, one of the key pillars of its SEED Agenda — Security, Education, Enhanced Healthcare and Development.
The medical intervention is part of the administration’s broader first-year achievements, which include the execution of five major road projects, construction of 32 solar-powered boreholes and the installation of a 500KVA transformer at Jaladugbo.
In the education sector, the council has provided free GCE and JAMB application forms and tutorials, while its empowerment initiatives have included the distribution of vocational equipment to residents and support for youths through the ITF Fashion Training programme.
Ladega said the various interventions were designed to improve living conditions and create opportunities for residents at the grassroots, in line with the people-centred ideals of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The council chairman expressed appreciation to the medical professionals, partners, volunteers, community stakeholders and staff whose contributions contributed to the success of the outreach.
He assured residents that his administration would sustain its people-focused interventions and continue working towards its vision of “Prosperity for All.”
