Kwankwaso’s Son Resigns as Kano Commissioner for Youth and Sports

Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso, son of former Kano State Governor and national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has resigned as the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development in Kano State.

His resignation also takes effect from his position as a member of the Kano State Executive Council under the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Announcing his decision in a statement released on Tuesday, Mustapha Kwankwaso said he stepped down with a “heavy heart,” expressing gratitude to Governor Yusuf for the opportunity to serve the people of Kano State.

He noted that his time in office was marked by valuable experiences and lessons, and appreciated the confidence and trust reposed in him throughout his tenure.

The former commissioner further expressed hope that the youths of Kano State would continue to receive the necessary attention and support, adding that ongoing sports development programmes and initiatives in the state would continue to grow and thrive in the coming years.

No official reason was given for his resignation as of the time of filing this report.
