Lagos Panorama learnt that the body took the decision on the prompting of the GAC Chairman and National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu during its meeting on Tuesday, 20 April, 2021.

It was learnt that the GAC also decided that all aspirants for chairmanship and councillorship aspirants including the incumbents seeking reelection would go through a direct primary involving all members of the party.

This medium learnt that the body took the decision to return Kolade Alabi because of his exalted position as the President ALGON.

Lagos Panorama reports that the GAC decided on the direct primary due to several complains over the dismal performance of most of the current council chairmen in the state.

“Only few of them performed well hence the decision to allow those seeking reelection to face the party members in the primary. The case of Kolade Alabi was an exception because of his position as the National President of ALGON,” our source added.
