The playbook dedicated for the immortalization of the pioneer Iyaloja General of Nigeria and mother of former Lagos State governor, late Alhaja Abibatu Asabi Mogaji, IYALOJA have featured in this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), otherwise known as Junior WAEC, nine years after her demised 15th June 2013..
IYALOJA Playbook that featured on question 61 of the English Literature, was authored and published by the Publisher and Editor of Lagos Panorama Magazine and Lagos Panorama Online News Website, Omotayo Matthew Aderinola in 2017.
Aderinola averred that the book was conceptualized as an academic approach to immortalized a worthy amazon of Nigeria and also conceived to engender generational transmission of the good virtues of Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji for the youths of today to learn from in an intellectually entertaining manner. The book also promote the rich Yoruba Cultural Heritage.
IYALOJA Playbook was in 2021 reviewed and listed by the Curriculum Department of the Lagos State Ministry of Education for Literature in English (Drama) for pupils of Junior Secondary School (JSS) 3, for this ongoing 2021/2022 academic section.
The actor cum media practitioner expressed gratitude to Almighty God for achieving the feat and noted that he’s seeking corporate sponsorship to stage the Command Performance of the play in October to coincide with the posthumous 106th birthday celebration of the mother of the national Leader and Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
