A Nigerian woman who arrived from abroad with her family but tore her husband’s international passport has been arrested.

A Nigerian woman who arrived from abroad with her family but tore her husband’s international passport has been arrested.

Mrs. Favour Igiebor was reportedly arrested in Lagos on Wednesday by officials of the Nigerian Immigration Service.

She was thereafter whisked to Abuja.

The Nigerian Immigration Service had earlier hinted the woman risked jail terms if found guilty.

Her husband NPO Reports gathered however went online on Wednesday pleading with Nigerians and the authorities to forgive his wife and the entire family.

He said that the entire scene was a skit to create a content.

”Dear Nigerians What My Wife Tore At The Airport is Not My International Passport, It Was All A Skit, We Never Expected this Story to Blow up Like This, Please We are So Sorry you All Should Forgive Us” the husband said in a video on Wednesday featuring two of their children.

His wife was seen at the arrival wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja being escorted out of the lounge and into the waiting hands of some Immigration officials.

The NIS had said that Mrs Igiebor violated Section 2 b of the Immigration Act.

The husband who said they run a family only entertainment platform said what his wife tore actually not his real passport.

He said Nigerians should forgive them over the content of their skit if violates the law of Nigeria.
