Pharm Arobadade, Alh. Kokoroowo enjoins defectors to canvass more for the party
The Executive Chairman, IRU-Victoria Island LCDA, Hon. Princess Rasheedat Abiodun Adu has officially received members of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) defectors to the All Progressive Congress (APC) on Monday.
While addressing the PDP defectors, the Council Chairman and Lagos Panorama SDG Grassroots Distinguished Environment Friendly Awardee said, “it’s a pleasure to have you all here once again. Like our father, our national leader, the Jagaban Borgu, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu do say that, Alignment and Realignment is essential in politics, as this enable us to embrace ourselves, reunite to become one again”.
“I officially welcome you to the Progressive family, the great party with phenomenal and stupendous leaders, (APC) as you rejoin today, I want to assure you that the party never cease to work towards the development of the community, State and Country as a whole, therefore let’s join hands together to keep the party flag flying, for a greater IRU, for a greater Lagos, for a greater Nigeria”. Chairman added.
Also, IRU/VI APC Apex leader, Pharm. Abayomi Muyideen Arobadade welcomes the defectors to the great party and also enjoins them to canvass more for membership registration, reiterates to them that we are one family in the progressive train.
LGA Chairman, Alh. M.j Kokoroowo also welcome the defectors to the great party as he officially hand over the party flag to the people while they dispose the PDP flag.
Expressing their willingness to join the party and appreciation, the head of the union that defect to APC, Mr Chijioke Ijomah said, “first and foremost I want to appreciate the chairman for her unrelenting kindness and support for us, she is always there to help manage some crisis despite her knowledge that some are not APC, this is one of the reason we willingly come together to join the Progressive party. We would abide by their rules and also be an agent to bring more likeminds to the party”.
Present during the event includes the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Taofeek Afolabi, Leader of the house, Hon. Aminat Alabi, Hon. Ajiboye, the assistant woman leader, Mrs Bunmi amisdt others.
