The Executive Chairman, IRU-Victoria Island LCDA, Hon. Princess Rasheedat Abiodun Adu has hosted the 2022 council Budget Retreat, themed; “The Great Leap Budget”

Speaking at the retreat, the chairman said, “The 2022 Budget which was Themed; The Great Leap Budget, is to achieve more significant developmental continuity in the LCDA as implemented in the previous year. Hence, all hands should be on deck to achieve this. The previous year the administration has done justice in the area of infrastructural development, empowerment, health, Youth engagement, Education amidst others.

“Therefore, revenue officials should maximize our income, be more active and productive as the administration continues, several viable projects will be done to ensure maximum dividends of democracy.”

Also, the Council Head of Budget Department, Mr Ogunbambi Ismail said that, “the budget retreat gives room for better preparation and analysis of this year budget to ensure effective maximization of the Government budget. The department’s aim is to achieve the very best as the development of the LCDA continues.”

The facilitator also exhorts the revenue officials to be diligent because their generated revenue is an alternative resource to public economic sustainability.

Council manager, Mr. Abdul fatai Olarenwaju, the council treasurer, Mr Babatunde Ajiga, Revenue Chairman, Mr. Olasupo, head of departments amidst others were present at the retreat.
