The famous social organization, Ikeja Club formally installed Aare Musediq Adebayo Adeleke as the 22nd President of the club on Friday.

The investiture of the new President was conducted by the Trustees of the club, led by the immediate past President Otunba Ayodele Randle

The President, Aare Adeleke in his acceptance speech said “We have been elected to lead our club and manage its affairs. Therefore, the urgent need to immediately embark on the very big task ahead, as the period of celebration, fanfare and felicitation should be over after this event. My fellow members of the new Management Council, there is no doubt the task ahead is enormous, but it is achievable by our collective efforts and dedicated team work”.

The logistics and freight forwarding Chief further stated that “Two cardinal points of this administration shall be consolidation and improvement. Meaningful consolidation on the achievements of the past President, particularly those of the immediate past regime and monumental significant improvement in the welfare of our members.

“Therefore, we urge us all to be regular in our financial responsibilities of the club in order to be relevant in its affairs and be dully recognized by the club in time of need”.

Concluding, he urged club members “I plead with everyone of us to join hands with the new administration to enable us take the club to greater heights”.

The climax of the event was the felicitation of Nollywood Legend and a Special Guest of the event Prince Jide Kosoko who recently celebrated 70 years, was recognized, celebrated and presented with the Ikeja Club membership club form by the President.

Prince Kosoko expressed his gratitude for the recognition and promised to reciprocate the good gesture with prompt filling of the membership form. He noted that he would have requested for the form

One of the royal fathers at the event, a first- class monarch, the Eselu of Iselu Kingdom, Ogun State, Oba Akintunde Akinyemi, announced a cash donation of one million naira to the club to help out of school children back to school.

The monarch from Yewa area of Ogun State alluded that the high rate of out of school children in Nigeria is the genesis of insecurity in the country, he urged both individuals and organizations to support government help out of school children back to school

The royal father noted that if every social club help at least 24 out of school children back to school, they would have helped solve major problem.

 

Oba Akinyemi also advised Prince Jide Kosoko to lead a protest to the National Assembly for the enactment of the antipiracy law to enable the creative industry successful.

The Vice President of the Club Abayomi Akin Omoyinmi Esq., gracefully appreciated the monarch for the donation and assured him the club will ensure immediate implementation of the program, helping out of school children back to school.

The well attended event also have in attendance royal fathers, the club trustees, patrons, past presidents, elders, the management council, special guests and other invited guests.
