Insecurity: NSCDC pledges to collaborate with vigilante group in Zamfara

The Zamfara State State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has renewed its commitment to synergize with the vigilante groups in the fight against insecurity and brigandage in the state.

The Zamfara State State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has renewed its commitment to synergize with the vigilante groups in the fight against insecurity and brigandage in the state.

The State Commandant, Sani Mustapha, stated this when he hosted the leadership of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria Zamfara State Chapter at the State Command of NSCDC Gusau.

He noted that the NSCDC has recognized the importance of their contribution to the security architecture of the state and as such, is ready to accord them all the needed support and synergy.

Mustapha stressed that the NSCDC will leverage on any intelligent information availed to the Corps by the group.

He therefore urged the vigilante group to work with other sister agencies at the grassroots to root out all manners of insecurity in the state.

Speaking earlier, Rabiu Bawa Maru, the State Commander of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, said the association needs the support of the NSCDC to function effectively at the hinterlands of the state.
