Ikeja’s First Lady participates in World Breastfeeding Week observance

The wife of the Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Mrs. Temitope Fausat Dauda, participated in the World Breastfeeding Week commemoration in Ikeja.

This global event, which commenced on August 1, will run until August 7, 2025, with a theme centered on promoting, supporting, and protecting breastfeeding globabies

Mrs. Dauda expressed delight in being surrounded by nursing mothers and appreciated their continued support for the new administration in Ikeja.

She emphasized the crucial role women play in society and encouraged mothers to adopt exclusive breastfeeding for the healthy growth and development of their babies.

The First Lady counseled nursing mothers to focus on their health, noting that ‘a healthy mother produces healthy milk,’ and advised, ‘Your well-being is key to your baby’s survival; eat well, rest well, and give your babies the best start to life through exclusive breastfeeding.’

She also called on Ikeja women to rally behind Executive Chairman Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda’s administration, emphasizing that their support is essential for the full implementation of the IKEJA AGENDA.

The Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Tawak, thanked the First Lady for her unwavering support of health programs in the council during the event attended by various health officials.

He assured her of the department’s cooperation in achieving the administration’s health goals.
