

Accolades pour in for Rt. Hon James Abiodun Faleke, Hon Member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, for facilitating a 3-day free medical outreach from Friday to Sunday.

The Free medical services officially launched at 10:00 AM on Friday, 25th October 2024, at the Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area, held at the Palace of Oba Onigbongbo.

At the event, His Royal Highness, Oba Oluwasegun Olasunkanmi Ajasa, Awuse of Onigbongbo, expressed gratitude to Rt Hon Faleke for his unwavering commitment to providing complimentary medical care and diverse empowerment initiatives for the constituents of Ikeja.

.Oba Ajasa expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm, stating, “I am delighted today, and I must commend Honourable Faleke for his commendable efforts in our community, particularly in providing palliatives, medical checkups, and treatments, empowerments among other benefits.”
He encouraged community members to take full advantage of the free healthcare services offered by the Federal Lawmaker.

The Regent of Ikeja-Land, Prince Adekunle Isiaka Apena, extended appreciation to Rt Hon Faleke on behalf of the Ikeja community.
Prince Apena stated, ‘I commend and thank Hon. Abiodun Faleke for this program. As you can see, the people of Ikeja are pleased with it. Without Hon. Faleke’s intervention, many wouldn’t know they’re diabetic. I urge everyone to participate and take advantage of this medical outreach.’

The Regent added, ‘Although this is an expensive program, I appeal to our MHR to continue with it, at least twice or more a year. I also advise our people to prioritize their health through regular check-ups” the Regent of Ikeja advised.

Oba Hakeem Agbaosi, Eweobaja 1, Alaguda of Aguda Ogba, conducted a special prayer session to promote the welfare of the community, Hon. James Faleke, his family, and staff, invoking divine blessings to bolster their capacity to continue to serve the people of Ikeja Federal Constituency more effectively.
Additionally, Oba Agbaosi emphasized the risks of self-medication, highlighting the necessity of consulting medical experts prior to administering medication.

He expressed gratitude to Hon Faleke for conducting medical outreach and urged him to sustain his benevolent efforts, wishing him continued divine guidance and robust health from Almighty God.

According to Funmiade Bank-Anthony, Coordinator of the event and Nollywood actor, the 3-day Rt Hon Faleke free medical outreach primarily focuses on women and the elderly, offering comprehensive medical services including diabetes testing and medication, H-Pylori testing and treatment, ENT evaluations and medication, typhoid testing and medication, dental care including check-ups, cleaning, whitening, and extractions, as well as malaria testing and medication.
Additionally, counseling services encompass hepatitis B testing, arthritis evaluation, medication guidance, physiotherapy including massage, and treatment plans for various other health concerns.
She also mentioned that food palliatives were given to all healthcare beneficiaries, courtesy of Rt Hon Faleke’s periodic medical outreach, conducted every 4 to 5 months.
Ademola Banjo, Personal Aide to the Chairman of the House Committee on Finance, welcomed the significant turnout of women and seniors, the primary recipients of the medical outreach program spearheaded by Rt Hon Faleke in fulfillment of his commitment to his constituents.
Banjo noted that the 3-day medical outreach saw a significant attendance at Onigbongbo LCDA, Ikeja Local Government, and the Palace of Oba Aguda, Kokumo Street, Aguda, Ojodu LCDA, on Sunday.
He stressed that Rt Hon Faleke prioritizes his constituents’ well-being and remains dedicated to improving their quality of life.
