The Vice Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Hon. Abisola Omisore, has announced the passing of his beloved father, Prince Adeboye Adedapọ Arẹmu Omisore, describing his death as a profound personal loss and the end of an era of exemplary leadership and selfless service.

Prince Adeboye Adedapọ Arẹmu Omisore, who was born on March 13, 1937, into the renowned Omisore Royal Family of Ile-Ife, Osun State, lived a life distinguished by courage, integrity, public service, and community development.

He began his education at St. Stephen’s Primary School, Modakeke, before attending Ife Anglican Secondary School, Omi-Okun, Ile-Ife. From an early age, he demonstrated exceptional discipline, bravery, and an unwavering commitment to serving humanity.

A respected political leader, Prince Omisore played a notable role during the turbulent political era of the Western Region in the 1960s, standing firmly in defence of his family and community. His courage and steadfastness earned him widespread admiration and respect.

In June 1981, he made history as the first Executive Chairman of Oranmiyan Local Government, Ile-Ife, where he championed grassroots development, good governance, and people-centred leadership. His tenure was marked by visionary administration, dedication to public welfare, and a lasting commitment to community progress.

Beyond public office, Prince Omisore was an accomplished entrepreneur. In 1987, he became a certified timber contractor under the old Oyo State (now Osun State), contributing meaningfully to economic growth through his enterprise, diligence, and business acumen.

Reflecting on his father’s remarkable life, Hon. Abisola Omisore described him as a man of honour, humility, courage, and unwavering integrity whose legacy of leadership and patriotism will continue to inspire generations.

He noted that his wisdom, influence, and exemplary service extended far beyond his immediate family, touching countless lives across Ile-Ife and beyond.
