Ikeja Council Chairman, Engr. Balogun condoles with Onigbongbo community on the loss of Hon. Oladotun Olakanle

The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government Engr Mojeed Alabi Balogun has extended condolences to the Onigbongbo community following the passing of Hon. Dotun Olakanle, Executive Chairman of the LCDA.

In his message of sympathy, Engr Balogun stated, “With profound sorrow, I offer my heartfelt condolences to the people of Onigbongbo LCDA on the unfortunate loss of their esteemed Chairman, Hon. Dotun Olakanle, who sadly departed during the early hours of today.”

“Dotcom, as he was popularly called, till his death, was a close friend and associate of mine. The news of his death got to me as a rude shock.  I am still in awe of shock over hearing of his sudden demise”.

“Dotun is a calm and gentle fellow who is always after the growth and development of his community, Onigbongbo. Over the past few years, he contributed his own quota towards the progress of Onigbongbo in his capacity as Council Chairman”.

“I pray Almighty Allah (SWT) grant him Aljana Firdaus, and also give his family the fortitude to bear this sudden loss. May God continue to be with his wife and children he left behind”.

Engr. Balogun prayed in conclusion, seeking divine protection for the Onigbongbo community against any future recurrence of such distressing events affecting its people.
