After much deliberation and anticipation by APC members and loyalists in Lagos State, the much awaited list of LG Secretary, Supervisory Councilors and Special Advisers eventually emerged following the approval of APC Lagos State Chairman, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi and express directive of Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
After a successful screening of the newly appointed Executive cabinet members at the Legislative Chambers of Ikeja L.G. under the leadership of Hon. Ayotunde Adenuga, Oath of Office was taken while the Executive Chairman inaugurated all Executive cabinet members immediately.
The new cabinet members are;
Comrade Akeem Dauda, Secretary to the Local Government (SLG)
Supervisory Councilors are as follows;
Alhaja Adedoyin Alarape, Mr. Lawal Desmond Okorejior, Mr. Tunde Folami, Mr. Lukman Dopemu, Barr. Pelumi Ologunde, Mrs Funmibi Akinduro, and Mr. Abass Aka
Special Advisers;
Mr Saburi Obadeyi, Mrs Shakirat Jinadu, and Mr. Dare Omoshola
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the, Ikeja APC party Chairman, Alhaji Dally Adekunle Adeokun congratulated all the new Executive members on behalf of the apex Leader of Ikeja APC, and GAC Member of Lagos State, Chief (Mrs) Kemi Nelson.
In his address, the LGA party Chairman urged new cabinet members to ensure that mandate of the party is delivered to the people as they go into office. “You all should support the Council Chairman in ensuring the aims and objectives of his administration is fulfilled for the people of Ikeja Local Government Area” – Alhaji Adeokun said.
He further charges the new cabinet members to be loyal to the party’s leadership, and function as loyal team members to the Council Chairman while in office

The Executive Chairman, in his address, appreciates the entire apex Leadership structure of Ikeja APC under the leadership of Chief (Mrs) Kemi Nelson. Engr. Mojeed Balogun, PhD, charges the new cabinet members to discharge their duties and responsibilities towards moving the council forward and ensuring that Ikeja APC delivers the dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroots in Ikeja.
“You all should be mindful of total loyalty to all party Leaders at all time. The continuous success of my administration is now a collective responsibility from each and every one of us today as Executive committee of the LG Council” – Engr. Mojeed Balogun said. The Council Chairman further assured cabinet members that the current crops of management team of the Council are the best to work with, as they will have no issue with any of them.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Ikeja APC party Leaders, Legislative members of the Council as led by the Leader of the House, Hon. Ayotunde Adenuga; members of management team as led by the Council Manager, Mr Saheed Azeez Abiodun; Staff of the Council, as well as party members, supporters and loyalists.
