Ikeja Businessman Obama survives broad daylight attack, robbery of gold

On Monday, a businessman based in Ikeja, Gbenga Bolaji, also known as Obama, was robbed of jewellery valued at millions of naira by an armed assailant who fired several gunshots at him.

On Monday, a businessman based in Ikeja, Gbenga Bolaji, also known as Obama, was robbed of jewellery valued at millions of naira by an armed assailant who fired several gunshots at him.

The incident took place on Fadeyi Aladura street, Ikeja, as the victim and some friends stood outside his office.

A viral CCTV footage reveals that a man clad in a black face cap, long-sleeved shirt, and black jeans approached the group, firing three gunshots at Obama and demanding valuables.

The suspect made off with gold chains and bracelets before fleeing on a motorcycle.

The injured businessman is receiving medical treatment at a hospital.

The police department has been alerted, and a probe is ongoing to track down the suspect.
