Ikeja APC sets up Ward Campaign LOC, AKOD advocates for massive votes

The All Progressives Congress, APC, Ikeja LOC Campaign for the Chairmanship and Vice Chairman candidates of the party, Hon Akeem Dauda AKOD and Hon Abisola Omisore OMITUNTUN, on Saturday, officially established a 90-man Ward Campaign LOC at the AKOD Campaign Office, Anifowoshe, Ikeja, Lagos.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, Ikeja LOC Campaign for the Chairmanship and Vice Chairman candidates of the party, Hon Akeem Dauda AKOD and Hon Abisola Omisore OMITUNTUN, on Saturday, officially established a 90-man Ward Campaign LOC at the AKOD Campaign Office, Anifowoshe, Ikeja, Lagos.

The event, conducted by the Chairman of the Campaign Council, Maiyegun Dally Adeokun, was attended by the DG and all principal officers of the LOC, Apex leaders of the party in Ikeja local government, including Chief Funso Ologunde, former APC Vice Chairman, former member of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Debo Olasoji, Chief Mrs Modupe Olaiya, all LGA Executives of the party and other stalwarts.

During the inauguration, Maiyegun Adeokun encouraged Ward LOC members to commence mobilization efforts to ensure the party’s success in the forthcoming Council election.

Similarly, Chief Funso Ologunde urged Ward LOC members to be willing to make sacrifices to convince voters to support the APC’s chairmanship and councillorship candidates.

The former APC Vice Chairman emphasized that house-to-house campaign to canvass for vote for all APC candidates should commence immediately across all six wards in Ikeja and the entire Lagos State.

The Ward LOC comprises an average of 15 members responsible for campaigning and canvassing for support and votes for the chairmanship candidate and respective councillors in their Ward.

Hon Akeem Dauda, APC Ikeja Local Government Chairmanship candidate, urged the Ward LOC to broaden its scope and incorporate all vested interests, thereby securing substantial support and votes for all APC candidates.

He then distributed campaign materials to the Ward LOCs to enable door-to-door campaigns.

Hon Dauda noted that the July 12 local government election would serve as a precursor to the 2027 Presidential election, highlighting the significance of Ikeja Local Government as the President’s constituency.

Various stakeholder groups, including the National Youth Council, Islamic Women Association, People Living with Disabilities, Christian Association of Nigeria, ethnic groups, and other associations, have declared their support for the APC candidates, promising to mobilize their members to vote overwhelmingly for Hon Akeem Dauda, Hon Abisola Omisore, and the party’s six councillors.
