The Officer was reported to have in a display of gallantry in his duty of ensuring the safety of Lagosians rescued the driver of a mini-bus stuck in the vehicle conveying gas canisters which went up in flames at Radio Junction inward Allen Avenue Roundabout.

The driver, Anawo Sunday and the gallant officer were later rushed to Oregun Health Centre in the corps patrol vehicle and are currently receiving treatment. Men of the State Fire Service Alausa who were also on ground could only prevent the fire from spreading although as the vehicle was razed down.

Prince Oyekan commended the heroic act of the officer and described it as ‘timely’. He reiterated his commitment towards boosting the morale of officers so as to ensure that they perform better in the field. ‘His act of bravery and courage is indeed remarkable as he risked his life to save the bus driver from the raging inferno”, he concluded.

The Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) has continued to demonstrate its commitment towards Security as enshrined in the T.H.E.M.E.S agenda of Mr. Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu by serving its mandate as a tool for community policing and intelligence.
