President Muhammadu Buhari is to embark on two weeks medical trip to London for check-up, his media aide said on Tuesday.

President Muhammadu Buhari is to embark on two weeks medical trip to London for check-up, his media aide said on Tuesday.

Femi Adesina, presidential spokesman said on Tuesday in a statement that Buhari would head to London after participating in the Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP@50), scheduled for 3rd – 4th March, 2022 in Nairobi, Kenya.

Buhari has already jetted out to Kenya for the event after which he will travel to London.

“From Kenya, President Buhari will proceed to London for routine medical checks that will last for a maximum of two weeks,” Adesina said.The last time the president travelled to London for medical check-up was in July, 2021.He attended an education summit in London and then spent time for a ‘medical check-up.Buhari had spent two weeks on the medical check-up.The current medical trip is the first to be embarked on by the president in 2022.
