In a deliberate attempt towards strengthening the security architecture in Iba LCDA as promised during the electioneering campaign, action-packed Council Chairman of Iba LCDA Hon. Yisa Abiola Jubril (ABILA) in company of the Council Manager, Iba LCDA, Mr. Jelili Jimoh and the Council Engineer, Iba LCDA, Engr. Medese S. whesu jointly presented a patrol vehicle to the Vigilante group in Iba LCDA earlier today at the Council Secretariat, Ayoka, Iba town.
The Key of the Patrol vehicle was handed over to Commander Ayede Santos, Vigilante Commander, Ojo Grand Command, on behalf of the Community Security Corps.
Commander Ayede in his reaction expressed his gratitude to the Council Chairman, he stated that mobility is key and essential for security, “we are really glad sir, Patrol vehicles are very essential assets for security agencies, It’s hard to identify a functioning security in Nigeria without one at least!, It can be likened to buying a notebook and pen for a child on his or her first day at school, this patrol vehicle has come in time of need and it shall assist the corps in the discharge of its duty,” he stated.
The Council Boss, Iba LCDA Hon. Yisa Abiola Jubril (ABILA) in his words to the Corps, “this Vehicle is a means of assisting the corps in protecting lives and properties of our inhabitants and visitors, the patrol vehicle would help you to navigate, most especially when passing through bad terrain communities, it will also help to inspect, monitor, and prevent security incidents as you move from place to place.” he stated.
He also urged the corps to make judicious use of the vehicle for it major course.
This vehicle presentation to the VGN is a follow-up to the vehicles presented to each of the police stations in Iba LCDA by the Council Chairman during his hundred days in office, precisely on the 19th, Nov. 2022.
