As a government who is keen towards the fulfilment of delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Iba LCDA, the education loving Council Mayor, Hon. Yisa Abiola Jubril (ABILA) yesterday, Tuesday 22nd of March at the Council’s Secretariat formally presented indigent students with free JAMB forms, having registered and prepared them for the forth coming examination.
The programme had in attendance notable individuals to witness the event, which include but, not limited to the the Vice Chairman, Iba LCDA Comr. Thomas Samuel A.) the Legislative Arm of Iba LCDA led by Hon. Ramon Obanla (Leader of the Legislative Council), members of the Management team (Principal officers) ably led by Mr Jelili Jimoh (Council Manager, Iba LCDA), Hon. Jamiu Oyefolu, the All Progressives Congress party Chairman-elect and members of staff in attendance, to show their support for the laudable educational initiative of the Executive chairman.
While addressing the students, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Yisa Abiola Jubril (ABILA) admonished the beneficiaries to utilise the opportunity availed to them by our dear Local Council to pass the exam at this attempt and come out in flying colours, which would hitherto lift the glory of our Local Council. “we would always fulfill our promises for both Indigene and Non-Indigene in every facet of development, I urge you all to study hard and be determined to achieve success at this exam once at this opportunity” he said.
He also advised beneficiaries to be good Ambassadors of the LCDA, adding that his administration is passionate about youth developmental initiatives, which education is a prominent sector of, the Free jamb form is in a bid to assist parents who were unable to afford the Jamb forms for their Wards/Children.
In his vote of thanks the Council Manager, Iba LCDA Mr Jelili Jimoh appreciated the leadership of the LCDA for the gesture towards the students, he mentioned that the exercise has recorded remarkable success in the past as beneficiaries came out in flying colours. He implored the beneficiaries to adhere strictly to examination guidelines to avoid failure and other stipulations attached to success in exams.
The students were full of gratitude and promised to adhere by the rules and regulations guiding the conducts of the examination, also promised to put in their best in order to come out with good results, as posited by one of the beneficiaries Miss Ijeoma Odu appreciated the Council on behalf of other beneficiaries.
