Amid growing unrest, the Conference of 57 APC LGA Chairmen has issued a fervent appeal for patience, calling on the protesters to shelve their planned protest by giving President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s led Federal government the necessary time to implement his bold economic reforms.

The call was made public in a communiqué by Hon. Mayegun Adekunle Dally-Adeokun, the Chairman of the APC Party Chairmen across Lagos State.

Scheduled for August 1st, the hardship protest reflects the frustrations of many Nigerians grappling with economic challenges. However, the APC Chairmen argued that the President, who had been in office for less than 18 months, deserved more time to address the complex issues facing the nation.

“We appeal to the organizers and the youth to any planned protest on hold for now,” the communiqué read. “President Tinubu is committed to restructuring the economy, and he needs more time, support and patience of all Nigerians to continue this critical work.”

The APC leaders highlighted the administration’s ongoing efforts and reiterated their belief in Tinubu’s leadership and vision for the country’s future. They urged citizens to remain hopeful and supportive during this transformative period, emphasizing that sustainable change takes time.

This appeal comes at a crucial moment as the government seeks to balance immediate economic pressures with long-term reforms aimed at stabilizing and revitalizing Nigeria’s economy.
