How Funke Akindele lost polling unit to Gov. Sanwo-Olu

The deputy governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the Lagos governorship election, Funke Akindele, lost her polling unit to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of APC.

The deputy governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the Lagos governorship election, Funke Akindele, lost her polling unit to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of APC.

Despite her popularity as a Nollywood actress, Akindele could not win her PU for PDP.

Akindele, who had boasted over her millions of followers on social media, could only get 19 votes.

Sanwo-Olu claims her polling unit (019, Ita Aro Square, Àga/Ijimu ward in Ikorodu) with total vote of 77.

Labour Party’s candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour polled three votes, while Funsho Doherty of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) polled two votes.
