
The Executive Chairman Ojodu LCDA, Hon David Olusegun Odunmbaku has inaugurated and proclaimed the Ojodu Legislative Council on Wednesday.
After the dissolution of the 4th assembly, the Council Chairman, Hon. Odunmbaku inaugurated and proclaimed the 5th assembly of the legislative arm of the council with six councillors sworn into office.
After due documents have being assented to by the newly sworn-in council assembly members, the house session took place with the principal officials emerging as mentioned:
Honourable Opeyemi Apatira, representing Ward A and the youngest councillor in Ojodu LCDA was elected the Leader of the Council.

This is coming on the backdrop that the Hon Segun Odunmbaku administration who was sworn in on Tuesday alongside other 56 Council Chairmen, is a Youth-focused and oriented government.

Other Principal Officers elected are Hon Lekan Peters – Deputy Leader, Hon Bola Lawal – Majority Leader, and Hon Gbenga Opebi – Chief Whip
In his inaugural and acceptance speech, the newly sworn-in leader appreciated all for their contributions towards his success and emergence while he emphasised that there is no victor nor vanquished.
