Condolences to Mr. Speaker on his father’s demise
On behalf of the people of Ikeja Constituency 2 and my family, I want to sincerely commiserate with you our leader and boss, Rt. (Hon). Dr. Mudashiru Àjàyí Obasa, the Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly on the demise of your beloved father, Alhaji Sulaimon Obasa, who answered the Final Call on Monday 20th May 2024 at the age of 83 and was buried according to Islamic injunctions on Tuesday 21st May.
It is a well known fact that late papa was an illustrious man who excelled as a father, businessman, community leader, religious stalwart, political icon, mentor and role model to many.
He was also a patriotic senior citizen and a consistent progressive politician, who believed in the unity, progress and oneness of Nigeria, espyecially in the survival and preservation of the Yoruba race within the context of the Nigerian nation.
Without doubt, you our boss and leader wouldn’t have emerged as a shinning light of this generation and a leading icon in Nigeria’s political and societal space without Papa’s sound trainings, good examples and God’s grace.
It is therefore our prayers to Allah to preserve his legacies, forgive his sins, accept his soul to Aljouna Fridaus and grant you and the entire Obasa families, as well as the Lagos State House of Assembly, Lagos State State in general and the entire APC political family the strength to bear the irreplaceable loss of your beloved patriarch. May his soul rest in peace Sur.Ameen!
Signed:
*Hon. (Prince) Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK)*
Deputy Majority Leader
Lagos State House of Assembly
