Great Icons are beacons who activate hope, trigger courage and inspire confidence where none exists.
Great legends are forerunners who sacrifice personal gains for the benefit of the greater good!
Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku, Odunmbaku Cardinal Baba Eto is no doubt a perfect combination of classical, benevolent and legendary leadership.
It is therefore not just for nothing, that you are fondly called BABA ETO or ETO-RITY
This is because, in the last couple of decades, you have been a consistent, dominant and potent factor in the politics of Lagos State and Nigeria.
Your progressive inclination and tenacity has helped in many great ways to achieve democratic, social and political stability in our beloved state of Lagos and beyond.
Therefore, ETO-RITY is not just a moniker, It is a burgeoning INSTITUTION
And your appellation, BABA ETO is not just a mere alias, it is a poIitical ideology and a Spiritual phenomenon that may soon become a subject for scholars to examine.
When the history book of political development in Lagos State is finally written, I am confident that many pages will be dedicated to the exploits and sagacity of Baba Eto.

As you attain another age today, I seize this opportunity to express our collective gratitude for all you have done, not just for us only, but also for the good people of Ikeja Constituency 2 and Lagos State at large.
As you celebrate another milestone age today 4th September, it is our fervent prayers that the Lord God Almighty whom you serve day and night will elongate your life, preserve your soul, and keep you in sound health and more wealth.
