Hon Faleke in the post said “My attention has been drawn to an online report regarding the authenticity of the result presented by Alhaja Layeni. The report alleged that the result is fake and backed it with police extracts”.

“Sad and discomforting as this development is, I hereby tender my unreserved apology to all our political family members, leaders, supporters, voters and all well-wishers for this unfortunate conduct of our member”.

He noted that “I must state, however, that I remain committed to supporting and would always support all our members in their quest for political ascendancy and economic empowerment”.

“I believe all cravings of political leaders should be geared towards this goal rather than seeking self or family aggrandizement or seeking only the advancement of our biological children and or siblings at the expense of those of the core politicians who remain committed to our cause and that of the party”.

“On behalf of the leadership of our Team, once again, I apologize to our teaming supporters and members for this unfortunate incident. We will scale up due diligence on every document and claims presented by our members and ensure this ugly incident does not repeat itself in future” he concluded.

Hon James Abiodun Faleke’s Full Text:

Good morning to all our political family members.

My attention has been drawn to an online report regarding the authenticity of the result presented by Alhaja Layeni. The report alleged that the result is fake and backed it with police extracts.

Though I have not seen the original police letter but based on the confirmation by WAEC, I’m satisfied that the result is not genuine.

Sad and discomforting as this development is, I hereby tender my unreserved apology to all our political family members, leaders, supporters, voters and all well-wishers for this unfortunate conduct of our member.

I must state, however, that I remain committed to supporting and would always support all our members in their quest for political ascendancy and economic empowerment.

I believe all cravings of political leaders should be geared towards this goal rather than seeking self or family aggrandizement or seeking only the advancement of our biological children and or siblings at the expense of those of the core politicians who remain committed to our cause and that of the party.

On behalf of the leadership of our Team, once again, I apologize to our teaming supporters and members for this unfortunate incident. We will scale up due diligence on every document and claims presented by our members and ensure this ugly incident does not repeat itself in future.

Thanks and God bless
