Indian chef, Lata Tandon has appealed to Nigerian and Indian supporters o maintain peace as they await confirmation from the handlers of the Guinness World Records.

She made the appeal on Tuesday in a statement posted on her official Instagram page.

It read, “A Humble Request to all my Sisters and Brothers in Nigeria & India to maintain peace and wait for Guinness to officially announce if the Current Record is broken or not.

“Please don’t make it a Competition it’s just a Record, my friends. I am a Peace-loving Person and wish the same for you” she concluded.

This comes after many Nigerians and Indians clashed, using unsavoury words to defend their respective record-breakers.

The fact is that if people have made up their minds over an issue, it is immaterial if there are compelling contrary facts. In mass communications theory, it is called selective perception. When emotions are high, reason takes flight.
