GTBank announces nationwide early branch closures, digital blackout

Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) has informed its customers of an upcoming transition to a new and advanced Finacle Core Banking Application System.

Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) has informed its customers of an upcoming transition to a new and advanced Finacle Core Banking Application System.

In a message sent to customers, the bank outlined the switch as part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing customer experiences through improved technology.

The bank said transition is scheduled to begin on Friday, October 11, 2024, and would result in the early closure of all GTBank branches nationwide at 12:00 p.m. on the same day.

It stated that branches would remain closed throughout the weekend and are expected to reopen at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14, 2024.

Additionally, the bank said customers should anticipate temporary service disruptions on GTBank’s digital banking platforms, including online and mobile banking.

These disruptions, it said would occur between 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, and 9:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14, 2024.

GTBank reassured customers that the upgrade is aimed at delivering more efficient and secure banking services, urging patience during the brief period of service interruptions.

The bank thanked customers for their understanding and cooperation as it strives to offer a more robust banking experience with the new system in place.
