Amidst the economic hardship in the county, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has delivered ‘Ounje Eko’ food packs to Lagos Water Corporation to cushioning the effect of the high cost of living and lessening the economic hardship being experienced nationwide.

This was made known on Monday by the Managing Director, Lagos Water Corporation, Engr. Mukhtaar Temitope Tijani in Ijora, Lagos.

Tijani, in a statement, said the ‘Ounje Eko’ initiative was aimed at cushioning the effect of the high cost of living in the State, as earlier announced by the governor.

While appreciating the governor, Tijani described the initiative as remarkable and significant achievement in the history of the State, towards cushioning the effect of the present situation.

The delivery was made through the State Ministry of Agriculture, led by the Commissioner, Ms. Abiola Olusanya, who was represented by Mrs. Ajose Ranti and Mr. Olalude Folarin of the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture, and received by the LWC, Head, Human Resources Management, Mrs. Mobolaji Ogunnaike at the Water-House, Ijora, Lagos.

According to the statement, eulogies have begun to pour in for the LWC boss for exemplary leadership and commitment to staff welfare, particularly, at this time of economic hardship.
