GAC adopts direct primaries to elect APC’s candidates for Lagos Council Poll

The Lagos State Gorvernor’s Advisory Council (GAC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has adopted direct primaries to elect candidates for the party in the forthcoming Local Government Council Elections.

Lagos Panorama was realiably informed that the resolution was reached today after the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) had earlier announced that the Council Elections to elect Council Chairmen, Vice Chairmen and Councillors for the 20 Local Governments Area Councils ( LGAC) and Local Council Development Areas (LCDA) will hold in July 2021.

The Apex body of the APC in Lagos State has also fixed June 18-25 for the primaries. So all aspirants were advised to commence lobbying on every card carrying party members.

Also at the GAC meeting, the Speaker of Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila was pronounced as a full and leading member of the Lagos GAC.

The GAC is the apex political decision making body in Lagos State with the party’s National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Chairman.
