“Free ride” for pupils of Itire-Ikate LCDA, Apatira took delivery of School Bus

With sincere effort to mitigate against the stress and loss time expend to and from school by students within Itire-Ikate communities, after the announcement of ban on commercial motorcycles and Tricycles earlier this year by the state government; The Executive Chairman of Itire-Ikate LCDA, Hon. (Dr.) Ahmed Olanrewaju Apatira magnanimously made provisions for Free School Bus in the LCDA’s 2020 budget.

The sixty seaters Free School Bus was official received by the Executive Chairman at the Council Secretariat on Wednesday, 20th May, 2020

According to Dr. Apatira, “today marks a great step in taking care of commuting of school children of Itire-Ikate LCDA, as we have painstakingly purchased and unveiled this free school bus to be commissioned in time of the resumption from this dreaded covid-19 imposed compulsory school closure”.

Meanwhile, All Progressives Congress (APC) Itire-Ikate LGA Youths Leader, Comrade Hammed Oladipupo Idris, eulogized The Chairman for his commitment and dedication towards providing qualitative educational steppingstone for students of Itire-Ikate LCDA. “Education as we all know is the key to success, I cannot be more proud of Dr. Ahmed Apatira led administration’s enormous support and readiness to contribute to the youthful empowerment and aspirations.”

The Leader of the Council, Hon. Akorede Adams fervently thanked the Council Boss for investing in the youthful future of students to achieve their set goals and to be good ambassadors of this great LCDA.

Also in attendance were the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Kehinde Baruwa; Leader Itire-Ikate Legislative Council, Hon. Akorede Adams and all Honourable Councillors; all Supervisory Councillors; Council Manager, Mrs Olanrewaju and Management Team.
