FirstBank Unveils 500-Seater Premium Bleacher at Carnival Calabar 2025

Central to the Bank’s participation is the construction of a first-of-its-kind private 500-seater premium bleacher, designed to offer improved comfort, safety and an elevated viewing experience for carnival patrons. The initiative marks the debut of exclusive premium seating at the globally renowned cultural festival.

Speaking on the sponsorship, the Acting Group Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, FirstBank, Mr Olayinka Ijabiyi, said the carnival aligns with the Bank’s First@Arts initiative, which supports the creative arts value chain across Nigeria. He noted that arts and cultural festivals play a critical role in fostering unity, inspiring creativity and preserving national heritage.

Also commenting, the Chairman of the Cross River State Carnival Calabar Commission, Mr Gabe Onah, described FirstBank’s involvement as a significant demonstration of private-sector support for culture and tourism. Carnival Calabar & Festival 2025 is officially marketed by Okhma Global Limited, the appointed marketer responsible for brand partnerships, promotional activities and ticket sales. Okhma Global has partnered with the Cross River State Government for over a decade, contributing significantly to the carnival’s commercial development and growing global visibility.
