Nigeria’s First-Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to support victims of the flood disaster that devastated Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

Wife of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, represented by the wife of the Vice President, Nana Kashim Shettima, announced the donation during a condolence visit to Governor Babagana Zulum at the government house, Maiduguri.

Expressing her concern over the floods, she described it as an “act of God,” adding “Only God can compensate for their losses.”

She also paid a sympathy visit to the palace of the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Garbai Al-Amin El-Kanemi, which was submerged by the floods.
