U-17 WWC: Germany Beat Nigeria's Flamingos 2-1

Miracle Usani in the 30mins of play gave Nigeria the lead with a delightful free-kick, but the European Champions bounced back after resumption of the second half, with goals from Svea Stoldt in the 49mins and Player-of-the-Match Mara Alber in the 61mins inside just 12 minutes.
Mara was in the thick of action for the European champions.

The forward, who scored three goals in the 2022 UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship, gave Nigerian custodian Faith Omilana a lot of reasons to worry. On the first two occasions, Faith had to deal with powerful strikes and then a header missed the target narrowly.

The Flamingos are currently third in the group and will play against New Zealand on Friday pending their final group game against Chile on Monday.
