The lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, has paid a courtesy visit to former Nigerian Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, at his residence in Abuja.
Faleke, who shared details of the visit on his social media platforms, described the meeting as a privilege, noting that Gowon remains one of Nigeria’s most respected and dignified leaders.
“I had the privilege of visiting one of Nigeria’s most dignified leaders, Gen. Yakubu Gowon, at his residence in Abuja today,” he stated.
The federal lawmaker expressed appreciation to the elder statesman for the warm reception and words of encouragement, while commending his continued commitment to national unity and shared prosperity.
“Thank you for the warm reception, and most especially for your kind words of encouragement and steadfast commitment to the unity and shared prosperity of Nigeria,” Faleke added.
He concluded with prayers for the continued progress and success of the country.
“May Nigeria continue to succeed. Amen.”
