The lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt Hon James Abiodun Faleke, on Saturday presented two brand new 2025 Toyota Prado SUVs to the outgoing chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikeja and Onigbongbo Local Government Areas.
The beneficiaries, Mayegun Dally Adeokun (Ikeja LGA) and Alhaja Iyabode Akerele (Onigbongbo LGA), received the vehicles shortly after the APC Ikeja LGA Congress held at the Oluwalehinmu Sports Centre, Ikeja, where new executive officers emerged through a consensus arrangement.
The presentation took place at the federal lawmaker’s constituency office on Ogunmade Street, Ikeja.
Speaking at the event, Faleke said the gesture was in appreciation of the outgoing chairmen’s dedication and contributions to the growth and stability of the party in the constituency.
“They may have retired as local government party chairmen, but they have not retired from service to the party,” he stated, commending their commitment and leadership during their tenure.
A member of the Lagos APC Governing Advisory Council and former Deputy Chairman of the party in the state, Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku, who performed the formal presentation of the vehicles, expressed gratitude to Faleke for what he described as a befitting honour for the outgoing party leaders.
Odunmbaku, popularly known as “Cardinal,” thanked the federal lawmaker on behalf of the beneficiaries and prayed for greater strength and accomplishments in his political career.
He also offered prayers for a successful second term for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and for sustained unity among APC leaders in Ikeja Federal Constituency.
In her remarks, Akerele expressed appreciation to Faleke, praying for his continued progress, sound health and greater achievements.
The event was coordinated by the Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda, and attended by party leaders and supporters from across the constituency.
