Faleke empowers Ikeja Federal constituents

The Member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives and Chairman, House Committee on Finance, Hon James Abiodun Faleke has empowered over 500 members of his constituents on Friday at the National Institute of Journalism, Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos.

Some of the items distributed

Beneficiaries were empowered with range of items which include cash grant of 100,000 naira and 50,000 naira each. Also given out to some selected constituents across the federal constituency are items that can enhance their entrepreneurial skills these include 15 sets of barbing equipment with a generator, 20 Hairdressing equipment, 15 car painting machine, 20 mechanic tool boxes, 5 car alignment machines, 15 vulcanizing machines and 25 industrial sewing machines.

Among the beneficiaries is a young lady named Tunmininu Ayorinde (an OND holder) who was empowered with mechanic tool’s box.

The third term Federal lawmaker, Hon Faleke who was impressed with Ayorinde’s passion and interest in the field she has chosen and he promised to sponsor her through HND to complete her studies in Mechanical Engineering.

The League of Past Councilllors in Ikeja federal constituency presented an award of excellence to Hon James Abiodun Faleke in recognition of his quality representation and service to the people of Ikeja Federal Constituency.

Another training for some selected constituents is scheduled for Monday 23rd of November at the Ikeja Local Government Secretariat. 100 buses are expected to be given out to some selected members of the constituents as empowerment before the year runs out.

Dignitaries at the event include the Executive Chairman Onigbongbo LCDA, Hon Oladotun Olakanle, the All Progressives Congress chairmen in the three Councils of Ikeja, Ojodu and Onigbongbo, Alhaji Dally Adeokun, Engr. Kayode Ajakaye and Alhaji Onifade respectively.

Others are former Sole Administrators of Ojodu and Onigbongbo, Alhaja Olusola Kokumo and Hon. Shamusideen Akerele; former Executive Secretaries of Ojodu and Onigbongbo LCDAs, Mallam Moyosore Jaji and Hon. Moshood, Chief Olusola Adesanya (MAOS), Alhaji Oladapo Atinsola, Iyaloja of Ojodu LCDA, Chief (Mrs.) Kudirat Salako and her Ikeja counterpart Alhaja Idayat Apena; Ward Chairmen and LGA officers across the three local government councils, Barr. Yomi Tijani, Olori Lola Basorun and a host of others.
