Teachers from public schools across Ikeja Federal Constituency have benefitted from a capacity-building programme aimed at strengthening classroom delivery and improving learning outcomes among pupils.

The training programme, sponsored by the Member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) James Abiodun Faleke, was held in two batches between February 24–26 and March 9–10, 2026.
The initiative was implemented by Oxfor Resources Consult Ltd. and Devin Vecil Global Concept Ltd., with a focus on equipping teachers with modern teaching strategies and educational technology to enhance student engagement and academic performance.
The on-the-job training programme emphasised student-centred learning methods, encouraging active participation by students, peer teaching, academic and personal guidance, as well as the effective use of educational technology in the classroom.

In total, 265 teachers drawn from 25 public primary and secondary schools within Ikeja participated in the training. The first batch recorded 150 participants, while 115 teachers took part in the second batch.
As part of the empowerment component of the programme, all participating teachers received laptop computers and transport support to aid their professional development and improve teaching efficiency.
In addition, 10 public schools within the constituency received a total of 17,760 educational writing materials, further boosting learning resources available to students.
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts by the lawmaker to support education development in the constituency and enhance the quality of teaching and learning in public schools.
The programme underscores Faleke’s continued commitment to human capital development and improved educational standards in Ikeja Federal Constituency.
